Schools Taekwondo Partnership

The STP was set-up by Hampshire P.E. Inspectorate, secondary school teachers and taekwondo instructors; to specifically address the alternative fitness needs of the traditionally disenfranchised P.E. pupils. The success of the STP scheme soon demonstrated that the demand across the county far exceeded the supply of specialist instructors, so the STP devised basic courses within the remit of existing P.E. staff, much in the same way as athletics or swimming, to deliver basic taekwondo.
Schools Taekwondo Partnership delivers course on behalf of Hampshire County Council to certify Taekwondo Instruction in Schools across Hampshire.

The second, important role of STP is to provide a graduation scheme for able, gifted and eager pupils in much the same way as Saturday morning football or netball is traditionally provided.

Typically the teacher or instructor recommends a link club, such as Spitfire Taekwondo Academy, or Focus Taekwondo, however there is provision for county-training in Winchester on Saturday mornings to accommodate, if no local link club exists.
The STP also organises inter-schools tournaments, residential taekwondo training camps, and foreign trips to tournaments.
Schools Taekwondo Partnership is a member of the
